EU MedBridge, the regional communication programme of the European Commission’s Directorate General for the Middle East, North Africa and the Gulf (DG MENA), aims to foster a receptive environment for European values and enhance public perception of the EU across the Middle East, North Africa, and the Gulf.

The programme promotes EU core values by showcasing the tangible benefits of partnerships to raise awareness and improve understanding of the EU’s role and actions. Key activities include delivering integrated communication campaigns, building youth and media networks, conducting public opinion research, and strengthening EU Delegation communication capacities.

The programme develops and nurtures a dynamic network of young multipliers and media partners to foster public engagement and amplify messaging, regularly monitors public perception through targeted surveys, and counters disinformation.

The programme is set to respond to any emerging challenges including disinformation, any decline in EU image and visibility, and the need for credible, compelling, and locally tailored narratives in a complex geopolitical context.

In order to achieve its objective, EU MedBridge engages in a variety of activities including:

Thematic Campaigns: campaigns that help highlight solutions provided by the EU in specific sectors of interest to regional audiences.
Editorial Content and Information Sharing: feature stories, news alerts, e-cards , newsletters and comic strips help relay various messages, initiatives and opportunities.
Opinion Polls: annual opinion polls in each of the 10 countries.
Youth Connectors: a network of young and engaged individuals across the region who participate in the Programme’s, EU-funded projects and the Delegations’ events and activities.
Young Creators: content creators from across the region work with the programme to help spread information about opportunities and key messages about the EU.
Digital Communication: the EU MedBridge website is a major source of information about the EU’s actions in the region, as well as oura Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and Flickr pages.
