De plus, 64\u00a0% des personnes qui savent que l\u2019UE apporte un soutien financier \u00e0 l\u2019\u00c9gypte le jugent efficace. Ce ne sont l\u00e0 que quelques-unes des conclusions du dernier sondage d\u2019opinion annuel men\u00e9 en \u00c9gypte et publi\u00e9 par le projet EU Neighbours South.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019enqu\u00eate, qui fait partie d\u2019une s\u00e9rie de sondages d\u2019opinion r\u00e9alis\u00e9s dans huit pays partenaires du sud de la M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e, a \u00e9t\u00e9 men\u00e9e en \u00c9gypte entre juin et juillet\u00a02020, aupr\u00e8s de 2\u00a0013\u00a0personnes interrog\u00e9es par t\u00e9l\u00e9phone. Les questions pos\u00e9es aux participants portaient sur leur perception g\u00e9n\u00e9rale de l\u2019UE et des valeurs qu\u2019elle v\u00e9hicule, sur les relations de l\u2019UE avec leur pays et sur l\u2019impact du soutien financier de l\u2019UE, notamment en soutenant la r\u00e9ponse de leur pays \u00e0 la crise du COVID-19. L\u2019objectif \u00e9tait \u00e9galement de d\u00e9couvrir leurs vecteurs d\u2019information pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9s, leur ressenti par rapport \u00e0 leur situation personnelle et celle du pays, ainsi que leurs attentes.<\/p>\n<p>46\u00a0% des \u00c9gyptiens auraient tendance \u00e0 faire confiance \u00e0 l\u2019UE, alors que 36\u00a0% auraient tendance \u00e0 ne pas lui faire confiance et 18\u00a0% sont neutres \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9gard de la question.<\/p>\n<p>Plus g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement, 50\u00a0% des personnes interrog\u00e9es ont une image positive de l\u2019UE, tandis que seuls 15\u00a0% en ont une perception n\u00e9gative. Les valeurs les plus souvent associ\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019UE sont la libert\u00e9 individuelle, l\u2019\u00e9galit\u00e9 des sexes et la prosp\u00e9rit\u00e9 \u00e9conomique\u00a0; les valeurs les moins associ\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019UE sont quant \u00e0 elles l\u2019absence de corruption et la tol\u00e9rance.<\/p>\n<p>Selon les \u00c9gyptiens, c\u2019est au commerce (72\u00a0%), au tourisme (67\u00a0%), \u00e0 l\u2019aide au d\u00e9veloppement (62%) et au d\u00e9veloppement des infrastructures (62%) dans leur pays que le soutien de l\u2019UE a le plus contribu\u00e9. Par ailleurs, ils souhaiteraient que l\u2019UE joue un r\u00f4le plus important dans le commerce et l\u2019\u00e9ducation. Interrog\u00e9s sur le soutien apport\u00e9 par l&rsquo;UE \u00e0 leur pays lors de la pand\u00e9mie de coronavirus, les citoyens \u00e9gyptiens ont r\u00e9pondu qu&rsquo;il avait \u00e9t\u00e9 efficace (72%).<\/p>\n<p>D\u2019une mani\u00e8re g\u00e9n\u00e9rale, les \u00c9gyptiens pensent que les m\u00e9dias nationaux donnent une image positive de l\u2019Union europ\u00e9enne. 54\u00a0% d\u2019entre eux estiment que l\u2019image de l\u2019UE \u00e0 la t\u00e9l\u00e9vision est tr\u00e8s positive \u00e0 plut\u00f4t positive, alors que 11\u00a0% pensent qu\u2019elle est tr\u00e8s n\u00e9gative \u00e0 plut\u00f4t n\u00e9gative.
