Il constate que, dans certains sc\u00e9narios, la capacit\u00e9 installable et la production annuelle d&rsquo;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 sont environ deux fois sup\u00e9rieures aux estimations pr\u00e9c\u00e9dentes, ce qui indique que l&rsquo;\u00e9olien terrestre peut jouer un r\u00f4le bien plus important dans la d\u00e9carbonation du syst\u00e8me \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique europ\u00e9en que pr\u00e9vu. Il constate \u00e9galement que les d\u00e9cisions politiques relatives aux distances de retrait ont un impact significatif sur le potentiel disponible. ENSPRESO 2 s&rsquo;appuie sur le projet ENSPRESO initial (ENergy Systems Potential Renewable Energy SOurces), conclu en 2018. La version actualis\u00e9e fonctionne \u00e0 une r\u00e9solution in\u00e9dite de 1 km\u00b2, int\u00e9grant les nouveaux ensembles de donn\u00e9es \u00e9oliennes disponibles et refl\u00e9tant les avanc\u00e9es technologiques r\u00e9centes en mati\u00e8re de technologie, de recherche et de pratiques \u00e9oliennes.
