United Arab Emirates EU supports renewable energy in Tunisia

The European Union welcomes the completion of Tozeur’s solar power plant, the first of its size in Tunisia, and looks forward to its commissioning. The 32 000 photovoltaic panels would power the equivalent of a city of 12 000 inhabitants.
The EU has funded its design and building for a total amount of €1.5 million.
