United Arab Emirates Mediterranean: online course on Decentralisation and Local Governance

The interregional Mediterranean Commission of “United Cities and Local Governments” (UCLG, based in Barcelona) announced on its website the launch of an online Course on Decentralisation and Local Governance, which will be held from 8 February to 30 April 2016.
The course is aimed at local, regional and central government officials and technical experts from the Mediterranean and from all over the world. Its main objective is to discuss about local democratic governance and the strengthening of decentralisation and local self-government processes.
The UCLG and its interregional Mediterranean Commission are “the largest framework for direct political exchanges between local and regional elected officials in the region”, says its online presentation.
