The President of the European Council has congratulated H.E. Abdelmadjid Tebboune on his re-election. Mr Charles Michel reaffirmed the European Union’s firm commitment to working to extend the partnership with Algeria, based on the Association Agreement.
Strengthening cooperation between the EU and Algeria will allow the parties to advance towards greater prosperity and security for their populations, more sustainable socio-economic models, the effective combating of climate change, energy security and a successful energy transition.
