
This policy brief presents an insightful analysis of the European Union’s (EU) strategies to combat corruption in the Eastern and Southern Neighbourhoods. Through a comparative examination of anti-corruption programmes in diverse countries and the level of EU support, the study highlights variations and best practices in addressing corruption. The analysis is based on Action Plans and Progress Reports published by the European Commission from 2007 to 2022, obtained through scraping the Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiation’s website.
