Yemen Factsheets on violence against women and girls in the South Mediterranean
The Regional Civil Society Observatory (RCSO), created in 2019 in the framework of the EU-funded regional project “Combating Violence against Women in the Southern Mediterranean Region” (2019-2021), has published two factsheets:
Fact Sheet 1 provides an overview of the main findings from the survey conducted between December 2019 and January 2020 in seven countries (Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, and Tunisia) to assess the level of awareness of women towards the laws and services provided for victims of Violence against Women and Girls (VAWG), as well as to know the personal experience, perception and values related to VAWG.
Fact Sheet 2 provides some of the key elements on the legal framework on VAWG in the same seven countries.
