The transnational partner meeting of the DigitalLife4All project (Interreg NEXT MED) was successfully concluded between May 12th and 15th, hosted by the North American Private University (NAU) in Sfax-Tunisia. During the meeting, partners participated in intensive technical sessions and specialized workshops, focusing on project coordination, the strategic planning of pilot actions, and the exchange of best practices regarding digital accessibility.
Within the framework of these activities, a central point of reference was the presentation and launch of the AI Hub at the NAU campus. This model center of technological excellence was developed to support the familiarization of vulnerable social groups with cutting-edge technologies and Artificial Intelligence, ensuring that innovation effectively serves as a vehicle for social inclusion and equal opportunity.
The meeting brought together a diverse consortium, including representatives from the Regional Development Fund of East Macedonia and Thrace-GR, serving as the Lead Partner, Mindspark Plus-GR, the University of Cyprus-CY, Ege University-TR, Al-Balqa Applied University-JOR, Tatweer Baladna – LBN and the North American Private University from Tunisia. This broad geographical representation underscores the strategic importance of Mediterranean cooperation in establishing a network of Digital Hubs and mobile learning units (DigiOnTheGo), aiming to bring essential digital skills closer to senior citizens and people with disabilities.
The meeting in Tunisia reaffirmed the consortium’s strong commitment to fostering an inclusive digital future. With the technical planning finalized and the next milestones successfully scheduled, DigitalLife4All continues its mission to bridge the digital divide across the Mediterranean, empowering citizens and enhancing their capabilities in the modern digital era.
