Yemen Israel: EU Ambassador visits Southern Arava region

This week, the EU Ambassador to Israel and the staff of the EU Delegation toured the Southern Arava region with the Hevel Eilot regional council.
They visited the new Ramon International Airport, which will provide new opportunities for European travel and tourism thanks to the EU-Israel Open Sky agreement.
The region is a hub for creative, environmentally sustainable research and agricultural innovation. Visiting Maaleh Shaharut school, the Ambassador met with youth who shared their hopes and dreams for the future. He was impressed by the way the communities in the region work cooperatively, also with their neighbours.
