As part of the EU- cofunded “Improved access to water, water distribution performance and related sewage disposal in Irbid Governorate for host communities and Syrian refugee” project, the jordanian Minister of Water and Irrigation and the contracting companies signed contracts worth €24 million in presence of the EU and the other European partners co-funders (AFD – Agence Française de Développement and KfW) aiming at strengthening and restructuring water networks in the northern Irbid governorate.
“The construction of this infrastructure will benefit the socio-economic conditions of the local populations, as well as their resilience from a water perspective”, as explained by European Union in Jordan Ambassador HE Maria Hadjitheodosiou
