On the World Day against Trafficking in Persons, an extended and constructive exchange of views and proposals to protect the lives of refugees and migrants at detention centres close to conflict areas around Tripoli was hosted by the Head of Delegation of the European Union to Libya on 30 July at the EU delegation to Libya.
Representatives of the international community and organisations as well as the Libyan government attended the meeting.
