Yemen Mediterranean Electricity Operators: Towards a sustainable cooperation in the Mediterranean basin

The EU-supported Association of Mediterranean Transmission System Operators (Med-TSO) organised a workshop on enhancing Transmission System Operators’ (TSO) cooperation during its 11th General Assembly, held on 21 April in Istanbul.
The meeting focused on Med-TSO’s activities in the framework of the Mediterranean Project and the role of the various Mediterranean TSOs to enhance cooperation and power system integration.
The Mediterranean Project, supported by the EU, is setting up a roadmap to share resources, costs and risks of investments in energy infrastructures in the Mediterranean Region. Furthermore, it aims at establishing a permanent exchange of knowledge among the countries along both shores of the Mediterranean, promoting the development and implementation of a harmonised and integrated Mediterranean electricity grid.
