The Union for the Mediterranean and the European Commission jointly organised on 22 January 2019 in Fes, Morocco, a regional seminar on the last calls of the Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme of the European Union specifically targeting the Euro-Mediterranean region.
The event, hosted on the campus of the Euro-Med University of Fes, provided updated information on Horizon 2020 and very productive opportunities to exchange and initiate new Euro-Mediterranean partnerships. Speakers emphasized the need to set up projects able to address nowadays challenges such as climate change, migration, food security, urban mobility, energy performance in buildings or violent extremism.
