The Euro-Mediterranean Women’s Foundation (FFEM), together with the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed), are launching the art contest “Drawing 4 Equality: Challenging gender roles on both sides of the Mediterranean”, in an effort to deconstruct the specific norms and behaviours that women and men are expected to play in society.
For instance, how many times are women and girls expected to act, behave and dress in a certain way? How many times have men refrained from doing something because it’s not worthy of a “man”?
Be creative and ingenious and share, through your drawings, illustrations, paintings and/or graphic designs, your views and thoughts about gender roles!
