Yemen 2nd bilateral meeting between Jordanian and Palestinian MEDISS partners
On 16 January 2022, the palestinian and jordanian partners of EU-funded MEDISS project had their second bilateral meeting.The encounter, meant to be held in person in Palestine, took place virtually due to the border closures.
Right after the welcoming speech by the representatives of Palestinian Wastewater Engineers Group, Jericho Governorate (Palestine), and the Aqaba Water Company, the partners updated each other project activities progress of the last six months.
MEDISS project, ‘Mediterranean Integrated System for Water Supply’, addresses the issue of improving the quality of saline groundwater in the Mediterranean area, opening alternative irrigation options for higher quality and more diversified cultivations (dates, citrus, etc.).
