The European Union and the Member States accredited to Morocco were warmly welcomed at the headquarters of the Wilaya of the Beni Mellal-Khénifra region by the Wali, the President of the Regional Council, as well as representatives of local institutions. This visit highlighted:
🔹 Investment & Economic Development: Presentation of the region’s economic and tourist assets to attract new projects.
🔹 Youth & Employment: Meeting with the beneficiaries of the Babouches project to support the socio-professional integration of young NEETs.
🔹 Inclusion & Equality: Visit to the multifunctional space of the Zohour Association, committed to the fight against gender-based violence and the empowerment of women.
🔹 Heritage & Culture: Discovery of the Ain Asserdoune Heritage Interpretation Center.
🔹 Social Innovation: Focus on Edu Solidaire, a project promoting the socio-economic reintegration of people with disabilities.
This visit is taking place Team Europe illustrates a strong and committed EU-Morocco cooperation for an inclusive and sustainable future. On this occasion, Mrs. Patricia Llombart Cussac, Ambassador of the European Union to Morocco said: “We are here in Beni Mellal, with my fellow Ambassadors of the Member States of the European Union, to better understand the opportunities and challenges of the Beni Mellal-Khénifra region and illustrate the contribution of the Morocco-EU partnership to local development.
