Yemen Closing ceremony of EU funded project SABIOP in Lebanon

Today was the closing of the EU-funded SABIOP project that implemented the construction of a biofuel production plant in Koura. The plant can process 1000 tonnes of forest residue into 700 tons of briquettes.
EU representative Gianandrea Villa said: “Through the briquette production, SABIOP has been able to demonstrate that implementing sustainable activities for biofuel production at the local level is possible. Biomass briquettes production will now support the UoMs of Koura in facing its sustainable energy challenges. From this point of view, SABIOP can serve as an incentive for other replications all over the country.”
