Yemen EU Ambassador to Israel visited Haifa
EU Ambassador to Israel Emanuele Giaufret visited Haifa. He met with Mayor Einat Kalisch Rotem and discussed opportunities for EU-Israel cooperation.
For many years, the EU has provided support to Haifa institutions, both scientific and cultural, through various EU programmes.
Ambassador Giaufret thanked Mayor Kalisch Rotem for her hospitality saying: “It is always a pleasure to be in this beautiful and vibrant city. The mix of cultures, active civil society and natural coexistence of Arab and Jewish residents is a model for the world. Haifa has an important place in history and well as Israel’s future. I discussed with the mayor how the EU can continue to play a role in its development, as Israel continues to move closer towards the European Union“.
