Yemen EU Ambassador in Lebanon discusses waste management with MP

The EU ambassador in Lebanon Christina Lassen met with the Head of Environmental Parliamentary Committee, MP Akram Chehayeb to discuss urgent challenges that Lebanon faces in waste management in Beirut and Mount Lebanon in particular.
She discussed with Chehaeb the need to move on in revising and follow the special law in managing solid waste, “It is vital to put a legal and organizational framework in order to set the necessary measures” Lassen said.
She added “We are going to pave the way to finance the sector in the long run, side by side with all parties in order to find suitable solutions.”
