The Alexandria West Wastewater Treatment Plant is expanding, thanks to €20 Million Grant from the European Union blended with €120M concessional loan from the EIB.
This major upgrade will improve our city’s sanitation services and help clean up Lake Maryout and the Mediterranean Sea. Expected to contribute to the City’s development plan for 2050, this project isn’t just about cleaner water— it’s about a healthier, more sustainable future for all Alexandrians.
