More than 40 people died and over one hundred were injured during an accident at the Lag Ba’Omer religious gathering on Mount Meron in northern Israel in the night to Friday 30 April.
The European Union issued a statement on 30 April to express its deepest condolences to families and friends of the victims and to the people of Israel and extend its wishes for a quick recovery to those hurt.
