Yemen Launch of 7 Gender-Sensitive Transport Buses for Women Farmers in Jordan Valley

Under the patronage of Jordan‘s Minister of Social Development and Head of the Inter-Ministerial Committee for Women Empowerment, and as part of the project “Towards Stronger Economic Participation of Women in Jordan,” funded by the EU and implemented by a consortium led by EuroMed Feminist Initiative, 7 safe and gender-sensitive transport buses in the northern, southern, and central Jordan Valley have been secured by Tamkeen for Legal Aid and Human Rights.
These buses aim to support 280 women working in the agricultural sector by providing adequate services, addressing the challenge of transportation, which has been a major obstacle hindering their social protection and access to the labour market.
