Yemen Morocco: EU funded project consultation workshops on drought, water scarcity and the delimitation of protection zones

Two consecutive consultation workshops were organised by the EU funded project “SWIM Support Mechanism and Horizon 2020” on 5-6 December 2018 in Rabat, Morocco, to finalise preliminary drafts of the decrees on “drought and scarcity”, “water” and “delimitation of protection zones”.
The participants were able to address the issues of water scarcity and drought, the definition of protection zones, the perimeters of safeguarding and prohibition in Morocco, as well as experiences specific to the Euro-Mediterranean area.
