The EU funded “Water and Environment Support (WES) in the ENI Neighbourhood South Region” project organised a Workshop on the 26-27 of June 2024 in Rabat, Morocco, to strengthen the capacities of stakeholders to make decisions based on sound scientific evidence, regarding marine litter, and to implement best practices in taking measures against marine litter.
WES’s support focuses on producing suitable data on the quantities, types, composition and sources of marine litter on the sea surface and on the seabed; on the identification of management measures to fight against the identified sources and types of marine litter; on the proposal of a plan regarding priority measures for the reduction of marine litter.
