The Academy of Scientific Research & Technology (ASRT) has announced the organisation of the YIELD National Stakeholder Validation Workshop, scheduled for 27 April 2026, as part of the Youth Innovators Entrepreneurship Launchpad for Deep Tech (YIELD) project funded by the Interreg NEXT MED Programme. The workshop marks an important step in refining business development and acceleration methodologies tailored to Egypt’s innovation ecosystem, with a particular focus on supporting deep-tech entrepreneurs working across Blue, Green, Circular, and Eco-entrepreneurship (BGCE) sectors. By addressing the persistent “translation gap” between research outputs and market-ready solutions in Egypt, the session aims to present draft mentoring and training frameworks and gather direct feedback from national stakeholders and sector experts to strengthen their relevance and effectiveness.

During the workshop, participants will engage in discussions on the key findings of the Egypt BGCE report and its ten priority challenges, review the proposed acceleration processes including mentoring frameworks and peer-network approaches, and take part in thematic roundtable validation sessions designed to adapt methodologies to local needs. The programme will also explore business development roadmaps and opportunities for “soft-landing” missions to support innovators in scaling their solutions.

Conceived as a collaborative validation exercise rather than a standard presentation event, the workshop will directly contribute to shaping the final adjustments to the YIELD methodologies, ensuring they remain practical, scalable, and responsive to the realities of Egypt’s deep-tech entrepreneurship landscape. Attendance is by registration only, and selected participants will receive a formal invitation along with final event details and a summary briefing document ahead of the workshop.
