The Second MEDREG President’s workshop is an occasion for the Mediterranean energy regulators to discuss the means to create coherent regulations to accelerate the energy transition under the growing security of supply concerns.
The current conflicts that are undergoing in Europe have raised the concerns related to the security of supply. Security of supply will be based on two main pillars. The first being the diversification of the origin of energy sources, which can be achieved in the Mediterranean by increasing the connection ports between our members.
The second pillar would be to produce power locally within each country using renewable sources to enhance the energy independence of our members.
