This report presents up-to-date information on the relevant EU and international environmental standards and describes current and future actions which may contribute positively to the reduction of the impact of maritime transport on our environment.
It was prepared by the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) and the European Environment Agency (EEA). Its development was coordinated by a Steering Group made up of representatives of these two organisations and the European Commission.
