Since 2006, the EU Co-ordinating Office for Palestinian Police Support (EUPOL COPPS) has been working to support reform and development of the Palestinian Civil Police.
In this context, the Mission has taken a pioneering role in mentoring, training and advising the Palestinian Correction and Rehabilitation Centre Department. In their newly released video, the Mission’s Penitentiary Advisor, Lars Widholm, visits the Palestinian Correction and Rehabilitation Centre in Jericho and explains how the aim is achieved through training of Palestinian correctional officers.
