EU MedBridge and its media network, Media Connect, will hold the second edition of Media Week from 20 to 30 September 2026. This regional initiative brings together young journalists, media students and media professionals from across the MENA region and the Gulf for a week of dialogue, learning and exchange.
At the heart of the programme is Newsroom CONNECT – Peace Edition, a two-day editorial hackathon taking place on 25 and 26 September across 11 countries. It will bring together young journalists, students, Media Connectors and media professionals to produce constructive stories exploring the role of journalism in dialogue, inclusion and peace.
The week will also feature a series of online sessions examining the issues shaping journalism today, including peace journalism, constructive journalism, journalists’ mental health, artificial intelligence in Gulf newsrooms and professional opportunities for the next generation of journalists.
The programme of online sessions is set out below. Participants may register for the sessions they wish to attend.
