The report provides an overview of career guidance policies and services across four Southern and Eastern Mediterranean (SEMED) countries, Algeria, Jordan, Lebanon, and Tunisia. It assesses the policy and service maturity against international standards and proposes reform priorities. While growing acknowledgment among policymakers of the vital role career guidance plays in aligning education with labour market needs, in fostering entrepreneurship, and combating youth unemployment can be recognised, significant gaps remain between policy intentions and practical implementation. The national reviews and synthesis were conducted in close cooperation with UNIMED and its member universities of the four countries.
