The European Union has made a long lasting commitment to support the African continent through a strong EU-AU partnership. The level of cooperation is already significant and succeeded in defining this strong partnership.
This was the major highlight of “African Cities: Engine of Sustainable Development”, a three-days-conference held in Cairo. “In an ever changing world, one thing is sure: Africa and Europe will remain each other’s closest neighbours”, said Ambassador Ivan Surkoš during his opening remarks.
